In this first phase, we're partnering with roasteries that have proven sustainable sourcing practices and fair pricing. This way, we guarantee flavor and meaning—the perfect balance between quality and responsibility.

Phase 2: The first real step – direct contact with the farmer
As more people choose Bunafide, we invest directly in our own sourcing.
We connect with farmers and cooperatives in countries like Ethiopia and Kenya , where the coffee plant originates. There, we listen, learn, and lay the foundation for direct trade.
This phase is all about learning by doing. We're exploring how to shorten the supply chain, how to support farmers, and how to give consumers insight into where their money is going.
Every collaboration and every conversation with a farmer brings us closer to a transparent coffee chain.
Phase 3: From farm to cup, single origin and fully traceable
Fair trade coffee means knowing where your coffee comes from.
We're increasingly buying single-origin coffee beans directly from farmers. This shortens the supply chain and increases trust.
Our customers pay a little more, but they see exactly what happens with their contribution, from harvest to roasting process.
By working directly with farmers, we know how much they earn and how their work can be improved. This gives every cup of coffee a face and a story.
Phase 4: From fair to sustainable
With the basics in order, we look beyond the bean.
We are making our packaging more sustainable, improving logistics processes and investing in environmentally friendly cultivation and transport.
Sustainable coffee not only means fairness for the farmer, but also care for nature and the communities surrounding the plantations.
From compostable packaging to local education projects, every step contributes to a resilient future.
